Our Italian Villa
We live in an end unit of town homes, 5 units in all. Each window has shutters, which we close at night time, every house here has them. We have a terrace out our master bedroom and Grace has one out her bedroom in back. We have a small front/side yard, and the back opens up to a balcony, garage is below. When we have visitors, they ring the buzzer out the front gate, which is electric, and we "buzz" them in. Freeman & Grace like this feature in our house.
Here is the front room, quite spacious, and big front windows that let in lots of light.
And the kitchen.
When we looked through the apartment for the first time, there was only an existing sink unit. We brought in some drawer units, and the appliances, and we inexpensively outfitted the kitchen, without the cabinet guy!
(notice, no dishwasher, but I have an herb garden out my window!)

The folding table from IKEA helps for more leg room during meal prep, but mostly it stays open for counter space (since we are sorely limited!)
Basically, the kitchen is an open book, semplice (simple)!
We have 3 bedrooms upstairs, and downstairs and office for Ben, the garage, and laundry facilities (washer in the garage). It's perfect for our needs, couldn't ask for more!
