I Left My Heart...

yes, in San Francisco. Spent the weekend on an adventure in celebration of our 12th anniversary...without any children, can you believe that?! It was SOOO amazing, reminded me time and time again of Europe and how much I miss it. I only wanted to come home to snatch up my kids and return :)

I spent a whole day walking the city (Ben was working for part of the trip, so I had some time to myself): Market Street, Chinatown, Italian District, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, Union Square...Ben joined me the next day as we explored Haight/Ashbury & the Golden Gate park, Presidio Heights...Wow! The weather was gorgeous.

The food was DIVINE (had some fabulous Italian, & Indian cuisine). Haven't had great food like that for it seems a lifetime.

...and, to top it all off, Ben got me tickets to "Wicked". Best, best, best night ever. The most exciting thing I've seen in ages.

not only that, being in Ben's company reminded me over and over again why I chose him. He is the BEST! He made me laugh and laugh and laugh. We had such a great time...

...but, we sorely missed our children. It was hard to leave my little baby, but he was so good, and now that I'm home, we snuggle all day long!

Here are some photos to wet your palette. I definitely recommend this city a MUST SEE for everyone!

Looks like so much fun. My DAd is from San Francisco so we've been there a few times. Love it. I especially love the sourdough bread. Yum!

I love San Francisco - would love to see Wicked also. It is always so nice to walk around and enjoy. My first visit to SF was with the Tab Choir years and years ago. Great memories. Dad and I went on our 1st or 2nd anniversary and loved it then also.
Wow Peg, it looks like a lot of fun. I didn't even know you had left. I am glad you were able to get away!

I don't know what it is about San Fran but I love it also. Whenever we can, we go and spend three days or so...Have friends that put us up and we always do it around an anniversary...so I remember with you vicariously. Missed your blog. Hope you are ok and happy back home.
