Asiago
We drove up to Asiago the other morning. Asiago is famous for its cheese (which is VERY good), it matures for 6 months. The only "official" Asiago cheese is produced in the alpine area of the town of Asiago, province of Vicenza, in the Veneto region...which is exactly where we live. It took us 1 hour to drive, Asiago sits atop a mountain, and to get there we drive on very windy switchbacks all the way to the top. It was a cool day, a bit cloudy, but gorgeous. We hiked and visited the horses. We also ate an early lunch of bruschetta and pizza topped with Asiago cheese.
