Sorensen's Camp
Lake Temiscamingue (above), Kipawa River (below)
This is a place I've heard about for years, Sorensen's Camp, a lodge in Quebec, Canada off the Temiscamingue Lake and the Kipawa River. Ben and his family spent many summer vacations here, and after visiting I finally understood why Disneyland wasn't any fun for Ben.Scott Sorensen and his wife, Pat were wonderful hosts, people I look forward to meeting many times in the future. Honestly, when we pulled up to the camp, I was floored, this place was the most beautiful place I have ever spent my time. Wow, I still miss it, and dream about living there.
The kids were in heaven, I don't think we saw them for more than 5 minutes at a time, they were so busy. Here are some of the things we did: Tubing down the kipawa, cliff jumping, kayaking, canoing (my favorite, with Ben), water skiing, catching frogs and snakes (Freeman's favorite), chasing the little cousins with the frogs and snakes, reading, volleyball, baseball, fishing/spear fishing, boating, swimming, etc...
Ben, Grace & Freeman Tubing (I joined in, but nobody took my picture :( )
Cliff jumping/diving off Grande Chutes, Kipawa River
Here's an idea of the lodges, and the camp area...really beautiful
The Adventures of Freeman: catching frogs, waterskiing, with cousin, Cole

The Adventures of Grace: on the dock, jet skiing with Mckay, swimming
The whole Bird clan, 37 total
